This beautiful jewelry is made with thread weaved around a loop/hoop shape made of Alpaca Silver. These earrings are hand-made so each set is unique, though all the same materials are used and may use the same patterns no two pairs are alike. Pictures represent style and pattern and may vary slightly in size, color or shape of the pair sent. Measurements do not include the loop or hook. All pieces are brand new and individually examined and bagged. Our jewelry is of the highest handmade quality.

WHAT IS ALPACA SILVER?

It is a metal alloy made most commonly of nickel, zinc and copper, but may contain iron as well. The blend makes the wire stronger then silver and holds its luster just as long. Its metal is similar to Stainless Steel but more flexible. It’s easy to care for and clean and does not tarnish or rust. Alpaca Silver jewelry is extremely light weight and gives off the delicate appearance with a durable feel. “ALPACA" is a trade-name for nickel silverand despite its name it does not utilize any part of the alpaca (or Andean llama).

HOW DO YOU CARE FOR ALPACA JEWELRY?

Simply wearing your jewelry helps prevent, or at least slow, the oxidation process keeping your jewelry looking new. We recommend that to clean or brighten your jewelry, simply wipe with a mixture of warm water and a mild soap and dry completely. Do not use chemical silver cleaners or alcohol as this will damage your jewelry. Do not spray perfumes directly onto your jewelry, as this may cause discoloration or damage. It is also acceptable to clean alpaca silver with a paste made with baking soda and a little warm water, using a soft toothbrush to clean crevasses.
